    Quality management

The Meiser Quality Management System has been developed as a holistic approach.

    Quality management

Our goal is to safeguard and develop the product characteristics based on our customers’ demands. Special attention is given to careful product development. Defects are recognized early and avoided constantly in order to prevent any problems during production.

If a defect still occurs, it can be analyzed with the Meiser QM System; this way the defect can be corrected and completely eliminated for further processing steps. The Meiser QM System supports a dynamic learning process with the objective to avoid defects effectively.

The most important modules of our Quality Management System are:

    • Textile lab with sampling machines
    • IT controlled processes during processing
    • Constant quality control according to ISO standards
    • Result documentation
    • Stipulation and analysis of objectives
    • Joint responsibility of the process by each employee
    • Quality management manual

Our quality management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001.

We are looking forward to inspire you with our quality management philosophy!

    Continuous Improvement Process

CIP refers to an internal attitude of all process steakholder; this philosophy achieves continuous improvement with long-lasting effects.

    Continuous Improvement Process

CIP is being implemented in all processes of our company. Our focal points are:

Quality of products | Quality of processes | Quality of service

Small improvements are constantly developed from continuous teamwork and are implemented immediately. Our goal to achieve effective benefits for our customers determines our actions and secures the development of more efficient and lean structures.

To increase customer benefit and to avoid problems in the long run each improvement has to be integrated into the daily work routine.

    Resource Management

Sustainable use of resources is the basis of our company’s internal resource management system.

    Resource Management

Sustainability means, for us, the prudent application of energy and raw materials. At all points of added value, this guideline is consistently integrated into product planning. We especially focus on the following:

    1. No, or little, pollution through emissions (exhaust, wastewater, waste air)
    2. Chemicals (Threshold Limit Value/TLV)
    3. Skin compatibility

The most important input factors are compiled in an environmental auditing and evaluated on a monthly basis. Based on this environmental analysis we can take decisions to improve the environmental compatibility of our production.

Meiser places emphasis on the following measurements for environmental protection:

    • Reduction of energy demand
    • Reduction of water demand
    • Processing of wastewater to transfer back to the public sewage plants
    • Reduction of organic and inorganic pollution
    • Processing of waste air
    • Usage, safety, storage and transport of chemicals
    • Waste and recycling of waste materials

    CO2 reduction

    Klima-Landwirt

We are constantly developing our products and processes. Why? Because we as a company want to become even more resource-efficient and sustainable. We have been monitoring our carbon footprint since 2013. Since 2016, we have been focusing on effective measures to measurably reduce our CO2 emissions. To date, we have been able to reduce our emissions by more than 70%. We have done our homework.

But we would like to go one step further. That is why we support the "Klimalandwirt Initiative".

These climate farmers work closely with the company "Next Farming" (a BayWa subsidiary). They receive special education, further training and certification. The focus is on conscious and sustainable cultivation of the fields and the associated humus build-up. The core of the initiative can be presented in three pillars:

    1. Humus formation with CO2 sequestration
    2. Biodiversity
    3. Water balance

For more detailed information, please click on the following link: https://www.nextfarming.de/loesungen/nachhaltigkeit/klimapatenschaften/

Experts enable and accompany the farmers during this initiative. The result? These fields and soils absorb 2.5 tonnes more CO2 per hectare per year. In our district alone, a total of over 600 hectares are already being cultivated in this pilot project.

Thanks to the climate farmers, with a sponsorship for an area of 50 ha, we compensate for approx. 125 tonnes of CO2 per year.

    UN Sustainable Development Goals

With the Agenda adopted in 2015, the global community under the umbrella of the United Nations committed itself to 17 global goals for a better future. The guiding principle of the Agenda is to enable a decent life worldwide and at the same time to preserve the natural basis of life in the long term. This includes economic, ecological and social aspects. In doing so, this Agenda underlines the joint responsibility of all actors: politics, business, science, civil society - and every individual.

We respect the UN Sustainable Development Goals and derive our actions and development from them.

    Made in Germany

    Transparency Builds trust.

    Made in Germany

These days consumers rightly demand the transparency to know where purchased products are manufactured and produced. In the textile production chain this is hardly evident. For this reason we have been member of the „Made in Germany“ initiative for many years.

We have our own seal ID to provide our customers with the possibility to lable their own products for end-consumers in a transparent kind of way. This seal ID including logo is provided by us for customers producing stretchy knit fabrics in Germany only.

    Facts:

    • Carl Meiser GmbH & Co. KG solely produces in Germany.
    • The seal can only be used for tubular fabrics knitted and treated in Germany.
    • The seal ID is 627.

We’ll be glad to advise you on possibilities of labeling and marking your products.
Please feel free to contact us.

    Innovation Award

Prize winner of the Innovation Award of the State Baden-Württemberg.

    Innovation Award

As a leading innovative company, nopma Technical Textiles offers solvent-free PU adhesive systems as pre-coatings before lamination. With this patent-registered adhesive system nopma adhesion light, the company Carl Meiser is prize winner of the innovation award 2011 of the state Baden-Württemberg.

    The initial position

During the last few years, there has developed the upward trend of valorizing the automobile interior. As a result of this development there is a greater variety of materials, more complex shapes and higher haptic requirements already for upper middle-sized classes.

The manufacturers of interior parts like for example a center console have to cope with various problems during the lamination process:

    • Compliance with emission value in vehicle interior
    • Long/not appropriate cycle times
    • Deterioration of the backing material due to too much heat
    • Discard due to irregular layer of adhesive
    • Expensive equipment like robots and other machines for the adhesive application
    • ...or alternative high manual input
    • Inflexible material by adhesive coating
    • Much filling waste due to cutting first during lamination
    • Discard due to irregular layer of adhesive

and other process specific problems and risks.

    The Innovation

The very special about nopma adhesion light is that company Carl Meiser managed to apply a solvent-free adhesive on a great width with precisely defined application quantity by own development of machines and machine elements.

Owing to great simplification of the customer`s process, the lamination of complex interior parts is possible at greatly reduced costs. Until now such complex parts were only possible in small series with high manual effort.
